These Terms of Service explain the general terms that apply when you use the Ethos website, request a quote, schedule a service, or engage Ethos for cleaning or property-care services.

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Ethos website and to service requests made through the website, by phone, by email, or through another approved communication method. By using the website or booking services, you agree to these Terms. Any written proposal, estimate, work order, service agreement, or other project-specific terms provided by Ethos will control if they conflict with these general Terms.

Services and Estimates

Ethos provides residential, commercial, real-estate, janitorial, specialty cleaning, cleanout, and related property-care services. Service availability, scope, timing, staffing, and pricing depend on the property, requested work, access conditions, and other project details.

Quotes and estimates are based on the information available when they are prepared. If actual site conditions, requested scope, access requirements, property condition, or other relevant circumstances differ materially from the information provided, Ethos may revise the scope, schedule, or price before or during the work with appropriate communication to the customer.

Scheduling, Access, and Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the service location and for disclosing conditions that could affect the work, including access restrictions, alarms, pets, fragile items, hazardous conditions, active construction, restricted areas, or special handling requirements.

Customers should secure valuables, cash, important documents, medications, weapons, and highly fragile or irreplaceable items before service. Ethos may decline or pause work where conditions are unsafe, inaccessible, outside the agreed scope, or unsuitable for the requested service.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a service, please contact Ethos as early as possible. Project-specific cancellation, rescheduling, deposit, or access fees may apply when stated in a quote, work order, recurring-service agreement, or other written confirmation.

Payments

Payment terms will be stated in the applicable estimate, invoice, proposal, or service agreement. Customers are responsible for charges associated with approved services and any authorized additional work. Past-due balances may be subject to collection activity or other remedies permitted by law.

Service Concerns

If you believe a service was not completed as agreed, please notify Ethos promptly and provide reasonable details so we can review the concern. Where appropriate, Ethos may inspect the issue, return to address an agreed deficiency, or propose another reasonable resolution.

Property Conditions and Limitations

Cleaning and property-care results can vary based on age, wear, staining, prior damage, material condition, construction residue, moisture, surface type, or other existing conditions. Ethos does not guarantee restoration of surfaces or items beyond what is reasonably achievable through the agreed service.

Ethos is not responsible for pre-existing damage, defects, deterioration, loose fixtures, improperly installed materials, unstable surfaces, undisclosed hazards, or damage resulting from conditions that could not reasonably be identified before service.

Website Use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with website security or operation, access restricted systems without authorization, misuse forms or communications, introduce malicious code, or use website content in a way that infringes the rights of Ethos or others.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, written content, graphics, branding, photographs, and other original materials on this website are owned by or licensed to Ethos and may not be copied, reproduced, republished, or commercially used without permission, except as permitted by law.

Third-Party Services and Links

The website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services. Ethos is not responsible for the availability, content, security, or practices of third-party websites or services.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ethos disclaims warranties relating to website availability, uninterrupted access, or the accuracy of third-party information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ethos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use or services. Any service-specific liability limitations stated in a signed proposal, agreement, work order, or other written service terms will also apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

Ethos may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
